Paul Hollandsworth is the founder and CEO of SolarVisuals and loves being an entrepreneur in the solar PV industry. With an MSME degree from Ohio State University and BSME from Virginia Tech, seeking to transition into the nascent solar PV domain, Paul started as an outside sales rep for a solar carport vendor in 2009.
“I started modeling solar carports in SketchUp as a sales tool to educate prospective customers…it was such a novelty along the East Coast that very few customers had ever seen one before! Through that experience, I saw the need for professional 3D renderings within the solar industry, and began SolarVisuals!”
Becca has been working full time with SolarVisuals for over 2 years now. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Becca has established her career in art instruction and soon joined SolarVisuals as an understudy to her father. Over the last few years, she has become very proficient in CAD modeling and 3D design, enjoying every day she has had the opportunity to offer her skills in the solar industry.
“As an artist, I have an eye for detail, and I enjoy capturing the environment of a particular facility or area. Working as a designer for SolarVisuals has challenged me both creatively and technically. It is just as important to model a carport correctly as it is to capture the feeling of the landscape it is in.”
